To earn the "FFA-Approved" designation, your business, gym, school, or organization must meet several key criteria demonstrating your commitment to family wellness.
As you’ll see, many businesses may already qualify!
Each criterion should be addressed in some way.
Once approved, your entity may display the “FAA-Approved” official designation onsite, digitally, and through most methods of communication (website, letterhead, email, etc.). See below.
The criteria include:
Commitment to Family Health & Fitness
Family-friendly programs promoting fitness, nutrition, and mental wellness.
Multi-generational participation opportunities.
Health habit-building avoiding unproven fitness trends.
Positive mental health practices.
Nutrition & Healthy Living Support
Promotion of nutritious food options.
Avoidance of highly processed, sugary foods.
Encouragement of healthy hydration choices.
Accessibility & Inclusivity
Programs accessible to all ability levels and ages.
Supportive, positive environment promoting fun and engagement.
Affordable or scholarship options for diverse family participation.
Community Engagement & Education
Hosting family-oriented wellness events and workshops.
Providing educational resources on physical and emotional health.
Supporting community wellness through schools, parks, or local centers.
Workplace & Organizational Wellness
Initiatives supporting employee wellness (e.g., fitness breaks, wellness programs).
Work-life balance and mental wellness encouragement.
Incentives or resources provided for healthy living.
Ethical & Positive Messaging
No body-shaming or extreme fitness culture.
Promoting realistic, sustainable health habits.
Motivational, family-centered wellness messaging.
Partnership & Support for FFA’s Mission
Public support of FFA’s values and mission.
Display of the "FFA-Approved" badge prominently.
Encouraging participation in FFA activities and initiatives.
Application Process:
Submit a completed application outlining your organization's adherence to these criteria.
Provide detailed examples of relevant programs and initiatives.
The application fee is set at $249 for review and approval and then only $99 annually to maintain.
Approved organizations receive:
Official "FFA-Approved" badge.
Recognition across FFA’s network and website.
Exclusive access to ongoing FFA’s family wellness resources and programs.
